Plans & what's free

Yappie sells extras, not focus. The timer, your tasks, your growth and the people you focus with are free and stay free; a subscription buys more of the library, a bigger daily allowance for the AI helper, and a fancier pet. This page sets out where the line falls.

Every productivity feature in Yappie is free, and so is cloud sync between your devices. If something you need is behind a plan, that is a bug worth telling us about.

What is free, always

No card and no account required. On the free plan you get:

• The focus timer, breaks, and the pop-out companion
• Tasks, steps, alarms, priorities, and Recurring tasks
• Unlimited projects and unlimited tags
• History, with its date range and text search
• Growth, your Journey, energy, streaks and streak freezes
• Charts and the Hall of Glory
• Time off, and everything a rest day does
• Unlimited friends, cheers, one-on-one co-focus and Focus with a stranger
• Study groups, with the same caps on every plan
• My sky and your Gallery of Greatness (the pool of hidden shapes grows with the plan)
• Cloud sync across your devices

The plans

There are four: Free, Yappie Lite, Yappie Super, and Yappie Super Family. Family is not a separate feature set, it is Super across five seats on one bill, each person with their own account, their own pet and their own streak.

Inside the app, "Premium" is the name of the fancy pet look and its wardrobe, not the name of a plan. You will meet the word on the Premium tab in Pet customization.

What Lite and Super add

Yappie AI, when Yappie hosts it. Breaking a task down into steps is three requests a day on Free, twenty on Lite and fifty on Super. Yappie's playful reactions have their own smaller allowance: two a day on Free, ten on Lite and twenty-four on Super. Free's own daily line spells the split out: five AI actions a day, three of them for breaking a task down and the rest for fun touches. Encouraging notes are Lite and Super only, and the daily reflection and the Charts summary come as a plain, rule-written recap on Free and a written-for-you one on a paid plan.

None of that applies if you bring your own key. My own key works on every plan, Free included, with its own per-device daily safety cap that you set yourself.

The premium pet, with the full wardrobe. The hand-drawn premium body, its animations, and the hats and glasses that go with it come with Lite and Super alike. Everything else in Pet customization (the 24 body colours, the eyes, mouths and free accessories) unlocks by level, not by paying.

More of the library. Soundscapes, background scenes and the hidden shapes behind My sky all grow with the tier, and Super reaches the whole of each. The sky is the one that keeps going: on Super it never runs out of new shapes to hide.

More devices, on Super. Free and Lite keep you signed in on one device at a time; Super raises it to three. Hit the limit and Yappie shows you your signed-in devices and asks which one to sign out, rather than refusing to let you in. Cloud sync itself is free on all of them.

Support. Free is answered within fourteen days, Lite on week days, Super within 48 hours.

Journey skies are free

The skies you unlock as you climb the Journey are free on every plan. They are gated by your level, and a locked one shows "Level N" and opens Journey rather than a payment page. Only the scenes marked with a tier star route to an upgrade. Levelling up has never needed a subscription and never will.

Managing your plan

Plans are handled on the website, not in the app.

• On Desktop, the plan badge in Settings → Account opens your billing page in the browser, and the upgrade button opens the pricing page.
• On Mobile, anything to do with upgrading or billing opens the browser for the same reason.
• Your badge reads Free, Yappie Lite or Yappie Super, and updates on its own when a plan changes.

Choosing

Stay on Free if the focus loop is what you came for; it is complete on its own and always will be. Lite is the step for the premium pet, a real daily AI allowance and more of the library. Super adds the rest of the library, an endless sky, the largest AI allowance and three signed-in devices. Super Family is the same Super for five people at once.
